It is a requirement of the NSW Government that you need a General Boat Licence (GBL) to drive a vessel for recreational purposes on NSW waters if you plan to drive that vessel at 10 knots (18.5 km/h) or more, or the vessel is a personal watercraft (PWC).
This one-day course will enable you to obtain a NSW General Boat Licence.

This one-day course incorporates…
- A workshop covering required boating knowledge and theory.
- Sitting the boating knowledge test.
- Obtaining of the required evidence of practical experience on our boats.
Following completion of this course, you will have the necessary documentation to present to a Service NSW office to obtain your NSW General Boat Licence. NOTE: Service NSW charges a separate fee for the licence.
This course unless otherwise advised, will commence at 08:00, please try and be at the Boat Rampt, 2 Margaret Street Woolwich no later than 07:45. If you would prefer the afternoon session, that commences (subject to demand) at 13:30. A text or email will be sent the day prior.
