How the theory course works
1. Purchase the theory course
Pay $100 securely online. Your student account will be created and you will receive access to the protected General Boat Licence presentation for 30 days.
2. Study at your own pace
Work through the presentation from beginning to end. Every important answer and examinable point is clearly identified so there is no guesswork about what you are expected to learn.
3. Complete the practice questions
At the end of the presentation, follow the link to the online practice questions. Your results will be displayed immediately.
We recommend completing the practice questions at least five times. Once you are scoring consistently, you should be well prepared to attempt the official knowledge test.
4. Sit your official test at Service NSW
The official General Boat Licence knowledge test is completed separately at a Service NSW Centre. You may need to make a booking, so please check the current Service NSW requirements before attending.
